Viikon vinkki! (englanniksi)

Amphion Tip of the Weeks showcases something we have been talking about for a LONG time.
Why do us real music lover´s have to suffer, when music is optimized for some mainstream listener (who has not been exposed to what a joy can be achieved by listening to their music through a bit better gear). Why not give out both?  Why not allow us to purchase the good original stuff, why do we have to settle of the compressed leftovers which are meant for a table radio?

This Jack Johnson's 2001 debut has been remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes.

While there is only one Bernie Grundman it is a bitter sweet example of what would have been possible all the time. And exhilarating example of how to give a whole new life to your favorite music in the music...

We will come back to this later with more detailed comments regarding this project. In the meantime get your hands on Ion & Icon2 combo (or any other of our recommend little systems and hear exactly why I think this tip of the week is a special).
Enjoy!
Anssi / Amphion
PS: Please do not be fooled to thinking that this stream sounds so great that it is not worthwhile to purchase the flac file they offer. ….But more on that later...
